What is the
Masters Tour? |
| |
| |
The Masters Tour was created by
Bob & Beverly Budzynski.
Their goal is to reward those Masters Dancers who have smoothed the path for
others who have followed or are following in their footsteps, whether they
are Juniors, Rising Stars, Classic, Sophisticated Swing or any Swing Dancer
Division. They hope to encourage more Masters Dancers to compete across the
country leading to a final Grand Reward for their efforts. This special
award is called the "Masters National Swing Dance Championship", lovingly
called the "Masters Tour." |

Points are awarded
at
tour events by placement.
The 1st Place couple receives 5 Points, Second Place receives 4 Points, 3rd
Place receives 3 points, 4th Place receives 2 Points, and 5th Place receives
1 Point. Points are accumulated through-out the year at Tour events. Awards
are given at the final event of the year, the U.S. Open Swing Dance
Championships! In case of a tie, the highest placement at the U.S. Open will
determine the winner. |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Please note: Each dancer must have
reached 50 years of age by the date of the competition. Please check the
rules of each individual competition. Couples accumulate points. Couples
consist of a male leader and a female follower. Any couple who changes
partners must then start over and accumulate points with the new partner.
Points previously received will be entered in the final standing with the
previous partner. |
